 1) Adriaen Thomasz., flämischer Maler, * Antwerpen (?) um 1544, ✝ ebenda 1589, Neffe von 5); wurde 1568 Meister in Antwerpen. Er schuf v. a. Porträts, auch Bilder mit religiöser Thematik.
 
 2) Ellen Karolina Sofia, schwedische Pädagogin, * Sundsholm (Småland) 11. 12. 1849, ✝ Gut Strand (Vättersee) 25. 4. 1926; 1878-98 Lehrerin, 1883-1903 Dozentin am Arbeiterinstitut in Stockholm; vertrat in zahlreichen Schriften Gedanken der Frauenbewegung sowie eine radikale »Pädagogik vom Kinde aus« im Sinne von J.-J. Rousseau. Durch ihr Buch »Barnets århundrade« (1900, 2 Teile; deutsch »Das Jahrhundert des Kindes«) wurde sie weltberühmt.
 
 3) [kiː], Francis Scott, amerikanischer Jurist und Dichter, * Frederick County (heute Carroll County, Maryland) 1. 8. 1779, ✝ Baltimore (Maryland) 11. 1. 1843; Verfasser des 1931 zur Nationalhymne der USA erklärten Gedichts »The star-spangled banner«, das er 1814 während des britischen Angriffs auf Fort McHenry (Maryland) schrieb.

 4) Lieven de, niederländischer Baumeister, * Gent um 1560, ✝ Haarlem 17. 7. 1627; war um 1580-90 in London tätig. 1593 wurde er Stadtbaumeister in Haarlem. Key war einer der führenden niederländischen Architekten an der Wende zwischen Renaissance und Barock.
 
Werke: Entwurf der Fassade des Rathauses in Leiden (1593-94); Fleischhalle in Haarlem (1602-03); Turm der Nieuwe Kerk, ebenda (1613).
 
 5) Willem, flämischer Maler, * Breda um 1515, ✝ Antwerpen vermutlich 5. 6. 1568, Onkel von 1); wurde 1542 Meister in Antwerpen. Key malte Historienbilder mit klassizistischer Tendenz, biblische Szenen und vom Stil A. Mors beeinflusste Porträts Antwerpener Bürger.
